It was the scene of the most ferocious hand-to-hand fighting of the entire war. Cannon and monuments are found in all parts of the park. In summer, park personnel present living history demonstrations with authentic uniforms and accoutrements. There's no better way to learn about the men and women who took part in the Civil War. you
